How to set up your Hostplus account

You can check your latest super payments and your investment returns with the Hostplus app. Just use your member number to register.

The app is great for checking your account on the go. However, if you want to make any changes to your account – like updating your insurance cover, or switching your investment options – Member Online is the place to do it.

If you’ve already set up your account on the Hostplus app, you can log in to Member Online using the same credentials. If you haven’t set up an account, you’ll need to register first.

While you’re working, your employer must pay a percentage of your salary into your super fund. This is known as the Superannuation Guarantee (SG).

If you opened your Hostplus account yourself, you'll need to give your employer your account details so they can pay your SG contributions into it.

Here’s how.

  1. Email your employer and let them know you want your SG contributions to be paid into Hostplus.
  2. Include the following Hostplus account details:
    Fund name: Hostplus
    ABN: 68 657 495 890
Member number: (found in your email)
    USI: HOS0100AU
    Phone number: 1300 467 875
Address: Locked Bag 5046, Parramatta NSW 2124
Compliance letter: download a copy here.

If you'd prefer, you can choose to update your employer through Member Online or the Hostplus app.

In Member Online, visit the ‘Employment’ page from the ‘Super' menu.

In the app, tap ‘More’, then ‘Changing jobs’.

If you’ve recently created a new Hostplus super account, you can save yourself time and money by combining any of your other super accounts with your Hostplus one. Best of all, you can do it in minutes through Member Online or MyGov. If you've decided that combining your accounts into Hostplus is right for you, follow the instructions below.

Combine your super in Member Online:

  1. Log in to Member Online and click ‘Consolidate my super’ on the homepage.
  2. Click ‘Search existing super’ and follow the prompts.

Combine your super in MyGov:

  1. Log in to MyGov and go to the Australian Tax Office portal.
  2. Scroll down to ‘Super’, click ‘Transfer super’ and follow the prompts.

Insurance through super is an affordable way to financially protect yourself and your loved ones from the unexpected.

You can check, change, cancel or apply for insurance cover easily in Member Online.

You can also update your ‘occupational rating’, which is an automatic rating assigned by the insurer. It reflects the level of risk you face in your job, and can impact your insurance premiums. If you let us know your occupation, you might be able to pay less for the same amount of cover.

If you didn’t make an investment choice when you joined Hostplus, you're invested in our default Balanced (MySuper) option along with over 1 million other Hostplus members. It's an award-winning option that leaves your investments in the trusted hands of experts.*

But we know not everyone’s investment needs or financial situations are the same. That’s why we offer our members a range of investment options. You can pick one, or a combination of options to suit your needs.

Thumbs up

You’re all set!
