Each toolkit includes a set of useful resources that can be integrated into your digital employee communications and displayed within your workplace.1

SuperSmart

SuperSmart is an engaging, interactive platform where Hostplus members* can access financial education and tailored advice online. It’s designed to help boost members’ financial literacy and support wealth creation and retirement goals. 

Awards and ratings are only one factor to be taken into account when choosing a super fund.
*Members with Term Allocated Pension, Lifetime Pension, Defined Benefit Pension, nil balances, non-standard investment options and some Maritime Contributory Accumulation members cannot access SuperSmart financial advice services.

Contributions

Making additional super contributions could be a way to boost your retirement savings. This toolkit helps to educate your employees on the different types of contributions they can make and what they need to consider. Your employees, who are Hostplus members, should seek financial advice from a qualified financial planner before making any additional contributions.

The Consolidation Super Toolkit includes content and resources to help educate individuals who may have more than one super account. It can provide your employees, who are Hostplus members, with information about what it means to consolidate, how to track down lost super accounts and what should be considered before combining multiple accounts.2

It’s important for members to let their super fund know who they want their super to be paid to in the event of their death. The Beneficiaries Super Toolkit includes content and resources to help educate your employees, who are Hostplus members, on the importance of nominating a beneficiary, and information on how to do so.

Getting Online

The Getting Online Super Toolkit is designed to help educate our members on how to keep track of their super anytime, anywhere. Your employees, who are members of Hostplus, can stay connected with their super with our secure online portal, Member Online and the Hostplus app.3

A growing number of members are looking for more control over their investments. The Investments Super Toolkit provides general education about investing within a super fund, including how to choose the right investments. For Hostplus members, this toolkit explains the range of options available through their Hostplus super account.

Our Financial Planning toolkit contains educational information about the value of financial advice, when to get advice and the Hostplus advice offering for members. Getting expert and informed personal advice from a qualified financial planner could make a big difference to a member’s finances, assisting in improved financial and mental wellbeing.

1. You, as the employer, acknowledge to not utilise any Hostplus material to:
a) give financial product advice or mislead employees about superannuation products;
b) mandate, recommend or influence your employees to choose a particular superannuation fund; and
c) make an unsolicited offer to employees, or ask them to apply for a superannuation product during real-time contact (such as a meeting).

2. Before consolidating your super, you should check with your existing super fund on whether there are any fees or charges that may apply or any loss of benefits, such as insurance cover. If you have insurance cover with another super fund, you may be able to transfer that cover to Hostplus. To find out if you are eligible visit hostplus.com.au/insurance to learn more. You may also find it beneficial to obtain advice from a licensed financial adviser.
